Video redaction, a new function in AXIS Camera Station, protects privacy and masks objects to comply with privacy regulations in a simple and intuitive way.
AXIS Camera Station video management software (VMS) now includes a new function that makes it possible to export video surveillance footage while safeguarding the privacy of individuals. With video redaction, users can edit video footage and mask foreign objects or backgrounds before exporting to third parties. It is also possible to automatically generate masks for all moving objects in a scene, due to edge-generated analytics data from network cameras. This function is useful for law enforcement purposes and to comply with privacy regulations. The masking keeps the original video stream intact so that it can also be exported and used as evidence in court.
This is part of an ongoing commitment of an industry leader of innovating for a smarter, safer world and developed this new video redaction function to aid companies in adapting the use of video surveillance to comply with privacy regulations such as GDPR in Europe and FISMA in the US.
This Camera Station is a powerful and easy-to-use video management software. It is ideally suited for medium-sized operations such as schools, retail stores and manufacturing sites and offers an intuitive interface to handle incidents and quickly export high-definition video footage.
